In some locations, particularly in Europe (e.g. Germany, France), some issues may occur in uploading your CSV roster file into the system. This is usually due to default locale settings within these areas.
A scenario where this error presents itself could look like this:
When preparing your Excel roster for upload to Qstream, you save it in the CSV format supported by many programs. However, regardless of the CSV option you choose, the file cannot be uploaded to Qstream because the result is a semicolon-delimited file instead of the comma-separated format you desire. This behavior occurs because Excel uses the system settings (in that locale) for its default delimiter. Some European countries typically use semicolons as the list separator.
To address this, please follow these steps when editing your Excel roster file:
Windows:
1. Click File > Options > Advanced.
2. Under Editing Options, uncheck the 'Use system separators' box.
3. Change the Decimal separator to a period (.) and the Thousands separator to a comma (,).
MAC:
1. Click Excel > Preferences > Edit
2. On the right hand-side, uncheck 'Use system separators' box.
3. Change the Decimal separator to a period (.) and the Thousands separator to a comma (,).
By adjusting these settings, you can ensure that Excel uses the desired delimiter when saving your files as CSV.

Please note: these changes are specific to Excel and won’t affect other applications using the default list separator defined in your Windows Regional settings.
