In countries with Workers Councils (such as France, Austria and Germany), rules limit access to personal information. When implementing Qstream in these regions, we can adjust our standard configuration to comply with Workers Council guidelines. Typically, Qstream’s flexible configuration is accepted by both Workers Councils and local data protection authorities, allowing successful rollouts for clients in these jurisdictions.
To comply with Worker’s Council guidelines, consider the following aspects when using Qstream:
1. Leaderboards
In regions where individual names and points cannot be displayed on leaderboards, Qstream has the option to turn on 'Anonymous Users' so that each individual has their name hidden. Individual scores and rankings are visible to everyone, but they cannot be linked to specific individuals.
You can also run a Team-vs-Team competition (for example, Country-vs-Country - but this is completely customizable based on your needs). All the participants in a team will have their scores grouped together to give an overall team score, so no individual names will be attached.
Lastly, you can also choose to disable leaderboards entirely if it aligns better with your business requirements.
2. Reporting
The Program Manager Dashboard offers detailed analytics on organizational strengths and weaknesses across Qstream topics. These insights include individual performance data, typically accessible to senior and training managers. For instances where you should not have access to specific individual data, you can enroll these participants in a separate Qstream so their progress is calculated separately.
The Frontline Manager Dashboards allow line managers to view real-time results and scores for their direct reports on Qstream courses. While Workers Councils typically permit this access, some jurisdictions may have restrictions. If this is the case for your business needs, Qstream can disable this dashboard altogether or on a case by case basis depending on the individual or manager.
If needed, you can disable all reporting dashboards. In such cases, after a Qstream closes, your Qstream Services Consultant can provide aggregated reports without individual data.
