A learner's experience in a course is based on three factors:
A. How often notifications are sent.
B. How many new activities are scheduled per delivery.
C. When and how many activities can be presented on a given day.
Notifications are when Qstream informs a learner that they have available activities. By default this is done via email, and push notifications when the app has been downloaded and logged in to. MS Teams and SMS notifications are also available via integrations.
Scheduled Activities As activities are scheduled, they are added to a learner's queue. The queue of scheduled activities is not limited. For example, if a learner in a reinforcement course does not answer any activities in the first week, they will have a build-up of six activities in their scheduled activity queue, the visibility of these activities is determined by the number of activities presented on a day.
Presented Activities are activities that are presented to a learner and are available to be answered on the learner's dashboard. In a standard Classic Course, “Activities Presented on a Day” is set to 2. This means that you can only ever see a maximum of 2 activities on any given day. Using a Classic Course as an example, if a participant had 6 activities in their scheduled queue, they would still only ever see 2 activities on any day (the rest of their scheduled activity queue is not visible to them).
NOTE: If a participant has downloaded the Qstream native app and is logged in, notifications will be received via smartphone.
