All “first presentation” activities are scheduled at the start of a microlearning course and this schedule is fixed. For example: if a participant receives activities on Day 1 but only answers them on Day 2, they will still get their next activities on Day 3.
All "repeat" activities are given a fixed schedule as soon as they are generated. Repeats are generated by a participant engaging with an activity correctly or incorrectly (assuming the activity has not been retired/mastered).
If a participant has available activities in their scheduled queue, they may be presented with activities every day.
Course Types
- Classic Course - Correctly and incorrectly answered activities repeat
- Turbo Course - Incorrectly answered activities repeat
- Lightning Course - No repeat activities
Activities presented to a learner are prioritized to show repeat activities and activities that have been in the queue longest first. For clarity, activities are prioritized by:
Type: Correct Repeats, Incorrect Repeats, New Activities (in order of priority).
Then
Age: activities scheduled on an older date will be presented before more recently scheduled questions.
Video Response, Comms & Survey DO NOT repeat.
Note:
If a Program Manager adds more activities to a course post-launch, whether by adding activities to an existing set, or by adding a set to the course, the activities will retroactively be included in the delivery schedule for that course. So, if running a custom course which allows for more than the standard two activities in a day, a participant might get the maximum number of activities added to their schedule for that day.
