Survey questions allow you to collect feedback from participants within a Qstream. You can use them for various purposes, such as gathering demographic information or understanding participant sentiment.
These survey questions can be included alongside other question types in any Qstream. For instance, you might place a survey question at the beginning of a Qstream to gauge initial sentiment or confidence, and another at the end.
Keep in mind that survey questions included at the end of a Qstream will be the last “new presentation” questions participants receive, although they may be delivered before all repeats have been given.
How does a survey question look in the participant experience?
Survey questions do not affect a Qstream’s overall proficiency. Participants receive survey questions in the same manner as other question types, and they are prompted to select either one or multiple answer choices based on the author’s settings.
- A participant will receive engagement points for answering the question, but no “correctness” points.
- Survey questions are excluded from any proficiency calculations.
- Survey questions are not repeated, regardless of Qstream spacing and repetition settings.
How can I create a survey question for my Qstream?
When creating a new question, select “Survey” from the question type dropdown in the top right corner:
You can click on the '?' to see more information on this type of question.
Add your desired question text (and media if applicable) and answer choices.
Notice that answers are in blue, and are neither correct nor incorrect:
You have the option to specify whether participants can provide only one response or choose multiple responses using the ‘Allow Multiple Selections’ toggle:
You can also add an explanation for participants to view once they have answered the question.
How do survey questions look in reporting?
Survey results are visible to Program Managers and Reporting Managers in the Qstream Insights.
- Overall survey results can be viewed in the “Content Analysis” tab, under "Question Proficiency":
- Individual participant survey responses can be viewed in the “Proficiency" tab, under "Answer Choice Detail":
